The 9th IMACSSS International Conference and the 2nd GSMACC in Putrajaya will be held on 10-12 October 2020 at Everly Putrajaya Hotel, Malaysia together with special occasion of 10th Anniversary of IMACSSS.

This joint-conference is co-organised by Seni Gayung Fatani Malaysia Association (PSGFM), International Martial Arts & Combat Sports Scientific Society, and the Faculty of Sports Science & Recreation, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.

In conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2020, the organizing committee welcome all delegation from all around the world to take part and experience the first World’s Prestigious Martial Arts & Combat Sports Scientific Conference in Malaysia.

The scheduled program are:

  • 2nd Global Scientific Martial Arts and Cultural Congress (GSMACC)
  • 10th Anniversary IMACSSS
  • 9th IMACSSS International Conference
  • 1st Martial Arts & Cultural Exchange (MACE)
  • 1st Martial Arts & Cultural Gala (MACG)
  • 1st International Silat Symposium
  • 1st International Silat Tempur Invitational Championship (InSTIC)

If any group of Congress participants wishes to give an open performance, you are kindly requested to provide an English commentator or an interpreter. The performance should last around fifteen minutes including the comment for each performance.

Extended abstracts of proposed papers and posters as well as abstracts of workshops will be required for further evaluation. The Scientific Committee will decide on the evaluation of papers, with regard to choice of oral presentations and poster proposals as well as workshop presentations.

In case of practical workshops, you need to give some information about the training methodology of the techniques, the fundamental of teaching, improving special skills, the skills of self-defence and fight.

You can give either general technique and tactics analysis or suggestions for specific practical solutions. The authors of practical workshops should first give the abstract and during the workshop be able to make comments/explanations in the English language.

We welcome abstract submissions of proposed papers and posters related to Martial Arts (MA) and Combat Sports (CS) in the field of :

  • Sport Science in Combat Sports and Martial Arts (exercise physiology, technology, coaching, performance analysis, sports nutrition, rehabilitation & physiotherapy, strength and conditioning, bio-mechanics & motor control and learning, kinesiology).
  • Social Science in Combat Sports and Martial Arts (psychology, history, pedagogy, philosophy, sociology & anthropology, management, physical activity, health & fitness, business, management and entrepreneurship, security & self defense).
  • Governance in Combat Sports and Martial Arts (law, ethics, organisation, policy).
  • Innovation & Invention in Combat Sports and Martial Arts.
  • Cultural & Tourism related to Combat Sports and Martial Arts.

The abstracts of papers and posters should include the description of the scientific problem, methods, results and conclusion.

Each field will be organised the next edition of the IMACSSS Young Researcher Award.

The organizer will prepare an Abstract Book and all accepted submission with full paper will be published in the Malaysian Journal of Sport Science and Recreation (Malaysian Citation Centre indexed). While, selected submission with full paper will be published in “Ido Movement for Culture. Journal of Martial Arts Anthropology” (Web of Science / Scopus-indexed) and “Revista de Artes Marciales Asiáticas (RAMA)” (Web of Science indexed).
